Sabina ¿? Variegata

What most attracted my attention about this tree was its tortuous, thick trunk, for this reason and despite not liking this variety much I decided to acquire it. This was a couple of seasons ago. I'm not sure of the exact variety of this juniper, I know it's a variegata but I would be grateful if anyone who knows the variety could send me an e-mail.

The trunk looked good but I suspected that a lot of it was buried, so I cut the pot to verify my suspicion and a nice wide nebari appeared.

After studying it I chose the front and the line of the trunk. Once I had it clear in my mind I pruned all the unnecessary branches and wired the rest.

After the styling work

One season later I decided to transplant into the definitive pot and, once I'd removed it from the old pot I found that it hardly had any roots. What should have been the root mass was in fact hardened clay which made it impossible for the juniper to emit roots.

After the work was finished.
